Town of Falmouth adds wing to recreational center

August 6, 2003  The Galante Architecture Studio has just completed bid drawings and specifications for the town of Falmouth for a10,000 square foot addition to the Gus Canty Center, their recreational facility. The Town intends to use this building to house a new Teen Center, Game Room, Computer Center, and Fitness Center along with lockers and equipment storage. The design calls for the interior steel framing to openly show through glazed partitions along with wood and concrete paneling to integrate the framing and finish materials as a single aesthetic. An article in  the August 6, 2003 edition of Architecture Magazine features this project as an innovative design succeeding at achieving excellent design while constrained by a tight budget.
